You Can Really Become Slim By Thinking Slim – Here’s How
It is only recently that things like ‘positive thinking’, visualization or even goal setting are no longer considered ‘pollyanna’ or ‘new age’ fluff. With recent breakthroughs in neuroscience along with better understanding of our brain and ‘mental laws’ we are beginning to see our subconscious mind as something like a computer completely able to be programmed like one to improve or enhance our lives.
Our subconscious mind is our control centre. This is where our thoughts, feelings, emotions and self-beliefs originate and it is these things that drive our actions (or inaction). If we are referring to the way we eat and the way we exercise this is where it all comes from. If we have become overweight and want to get out of that unhealthy and unhappy body this is where we must start the journey back to that slim, fit, healthy body.
Often the main reason and the very CORE of why we have become overweight is that many of us are still running negative mind programs which we have developed over the years as a result of repetition of our own personal patterns of negative thinking. Add in some misinformation about nutrition and exercise, a dose of plain old self-delusion and you have the mental programming, thoughts and self-beliefs that combine to get you and keep you stuck in an overweight body.
You could think of the neural pathways in our brain like grooves in a record. If you are struggling with being overweight or health related behaviours you have been playing the old tired records over and over again. These are why you sometimes turn to food, may eat the wrong types of foods, too much of them and avoid exercise.
To change these results, you must overwrite this old negative programming and install positive new programming into your subconscious. Think of it like this – if you were to carve some new grooves into that record, it would never play the same way again. The old patterns would weaken and the new ones would take over. Brand new more positive, more focused thoughts, feeling and self-belief would create new neural patterns.
When you have done this the magic happens, slowly you start to make better food choices, eat less overall and enjoy exercise and being active. You WANT to do these things as you now have a clear path to what is very important to you – a slim, fit, healthy, feel-good body. Your old overweight one is simply no longer acceptable to you to live your life in.
You have quite literally reprogrammed your brain, which in turn creates new behaviours to move you towards whatever you have been focusing on. Your inner mind programming is now working with you instead of against you. Losing weight and improving your health is now top of the list and then it all happens automatically.
So, success is achieved through more positive and focused thinking which generates more positive and focused actions and doing. Once you understand there are two sides to the coin and without taking the time to pay attention to both, you will continue to battle and struggle… often against nothing but yourself. You are likely to self-sabotage yourself time and time again no matter how many diets or exercise programs you begin.
The strategies and tools you need to give yourself this ‘inner mind software upgrade’ are documented in my eBook called “The Weight Loss Motivation Bible” and once you read it and implement the systems you will be able to free yourself from the ongoing and frustrating struggle with your weight and food. You will be so glad you did this for yourself and the benefits will spill over into all areas of your life allowing you to be the happy and fit person you were meant to be.
The idea that your subconscious mind may be actively blocking your conscious efforts to lose weight can be hard to swallow at first. So in addition to revealing my top 4 secrets to effective weight loss, I have included in my free report “Visualization Secrets For Weight Loss Success” a section on how mastering your subconscious mind through visualization can make all the difference to your level of weight loss success.
